Sport & Performance

  • Context

I have significant experience working with athletes and para athletes, from the recreational to high performance level.  As a vetted and early member of Game Plan’s Mental Health Network, I work with individuals at the Canadian national level.  I am also contracted with the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) to administer wellness checks, develop and present educational content, and support other interventions as part of their mental health strategy. Finally, I work with athletes and para athletes in the context of my Toronto-based private practice.

My Own Sport Background

I grew up playing a variety of sports such as soccer, skiing, gymnastics, and track & field.  I swam for McGill University’s varsity team and was co-captain during my senior year.  Later, I got involved in the competitive side of Crossfit, competing internationally and being ranked in Canada’s top 10 female competitors.  Currently, I stay active through trail running, yoga, weightlifting, hand balancing, and bouldering.

I have received training in sport psychology, engage in regular consultation with other sport-informed mental health providers, and am a member of professional associations related to sport and performance psychology.
